1. Cell theory - Every living thing is made up of cells and every cell comes from already existing cells. 
2. Gene theory - All living organisms have DNA, molecules that contain the genetic information of a living thing, structures and functions that are passed on to their offspring.
3. Homeostasis - All living things have a state of balance which allows the systems in the body to function properly dependen or the changes in the surroindings. 
4. Evolution - The ability of living things to adapt based on their circumstances. During evolution, natural selection occurs, survival of the fittest.
