hanbok

Hanbok is the traditional attire of the Korean people, passed down from ancient times. Its origins can be seen in old records from the Three Kingdoms period and in ancient mural paintings. Most commoners wore simplified versions of clothing such as short pants, but the basic components of hanbok—chima (skirt), jeogori (jacket), and baji (pants)—have maintained their fundamental form over the centuries.

As a traditional costume, hanbok features several unique characteristics. It prioritizes comfort and mobility, and it is not a tight-fitting garment. Although hanbok fabrics are typically made with straight lines, they create soft curves when worn, adding to its aesthetic beauty. This effect is partly due to its structure, which sometimes includes pockets.

Modern hanbok is quite similar to the styles worn during the Joseon Dynasty and is now mostly worn during holidays or formal occasions. Gae-ryang hanbok (modernized hanbok) has evolved over time to emphasize convenience in daily life, and throughout the 20th century, its appearance underwent many changes. While hanbok doesn’t follow fashion trends as quickly as Western-style clothing, it has continued to adapt to the times through changes in color, materials, and design. Many hanbok designers today are still exploring new interpretations to keep the tradition alive in a modern context.

Hanbok is more than just clothing—it holds stories, identity, and emotion.
In this way, it reminds me of the values we cherish in social welfare:
respecting diversity, embracing tradition, and helping people feel a sense of belonging through culture.

Hi guys! Today I will share u my perspective mentioned to "pho".

It's a fragrant noodle soup that holds a special place in the hearts of of Vietnamese people. Pho typically consists of flat rice noodles, thin slices of meat, and a deeply flavorful broth. The result is a rich, aromatic base which both comforting and delicious.

Also, the dish can served with fresh herbs, along with bean sprouts, lime or chilli on the side, allowing everone to customize. To me, "pho" is more than just a kind of food. It captures the essence of Vietnamese cuisine including: simple and extremely soulful.
