If literacy has traditionally been a project of restriction, a mode of gatekeeping and of valuing certain knowledge systems over others, in what ways do you see media technologies opening spaces for languages of hybridity and linguistic diversity to be valued? What role do you think circulation plays in creating such intertextuality of voices? In what ways do you think this hybridization of voices, languages from so many disparate contexts, can work to alter dominant power systems in place? Are there certain songs, tweets, images, videos, articles, etc. that you can think of that speak to this intertextuality and hybridization of language? If you'd like, you can write about the image/video/gif/etc. that you post, or you can let the post carry its own rhetorical messages.

For example, some of the blogs I follow on Tumblr are made and maintained by people in other countries, and this gives me some insight on life in other countries.
