They were located in these places because they didn't want things to be documented about what was going on at the camps. Over 33,000 Japanese Americans fought in the war which shows how dedicated they were to America. They also found ways to show patriotism within the camps, like doing the pledge of allegiance ever day. Hitler, the dictator at the time blamed the certain minority groups for WWl and made the public turn againsed them. He strived to have an 'ideal race' and wanted to eliminate groups who he didn't view as 'ideal'. He started by identifying the different groups (mostly Jews) to have them identify as being Jewish or that certain group. Once they were identified, they were labeled by giving each group a different symbol. Once all the groups were identified, they were moved to Ghettos. Ghettos were small, broke neighborhoods where the groups would live in until moved to either working or death camps. Then, the groups would be rushed out of the ghettos and moved to a working camp. Once they are in the working camps, they are selected to go into either working or death camps based on their ability to work. Near the last 6 months, Hitler knew he wouldn't win the war so he moved as many people as he could (or he didn't like) to death camps so he could 'cleanse the human race'.
