At a young age, Peter Parker's parents leave him with his Aunt May and Uncle Ben and then they die in a crash. In high school Peter is bullied by Flash Thompson. Peter meets a girl at school named Gwen Stacey. Peter is also a photographer for his high school.

The call to Adventure

Peter finds his father's old briefcase while cleaning out the basement one day. He goes through it and finds a file that leads him to do some researching. He finds out that his father's old lab partner, Dr. Connors, works in Oscorp tower. He goes there, meets Dr. Connors, and starts sneaking around when he gets bitten by a spider and begins to develop strange abilities.

Peter refuses to use his enhanced abilities to stop a robber who holds up the wrestling tournament Peter just participated in. In this moment, he's called to use his superpowers for good; when he lets the robber go, he essentially says, "Thanks, but no thanks.

Meeting with the mentor

Peter has several mentors throughout the movie. Dr. Connors is his scientific mentor but throughout his life, Uncle Ben is his true mentor and when he dies Peter is pushed to his limits. The briefcase is also a type of mentor. It helps Peter and pushes him towards his special world.

Crossing the Threshold

The death of uncle Ben pushes peter to cross the threshold. He begins searching for uncle Ben's killer. He makes a mask and a suit and begins to fight crime. That is when his identity as Spider-Man begins to rise.

Allies, Trials, and Enemies.

he first obstacle he faces is Captain Stacy who puts an arrest warrant for Spider-Man.

An ally he meets is his love interest, Gwen Stacy An enemy he eventually makes in Dr. Conners.

Approach to the innermost cave

Peter creates a completed Spider-Man suit and confronts the Lizard for the first time on a bridge. He then tracks down the Lizard after having several encounters with him. One of the challenges being getting into the sewers as the police are everywhere.

The Supreme Ordeal

The police shoot Spider-Man. He is surrounded and knows that if his identity is revealed, Gwen will die and the city of New York will be lost. He cannot fight his way out so he reveals his identity to Captain Stacey.

The Reward

Peter Parker's reward for gaining spider-like powers is the ability to save the city from a reptilian foe

The Road Back

As Peter makes his way to the Oscorp tower to stop the Lizard he learns that the citizens of New York trust him. Spider-Man begins fighting the Lizard and when Captain Stacey shows up they work together. Spider-Man gets the antidote and the Lizard turns back into Dr. Connors and the city is saved. Captain Stacey tells Peter that the city needs him and Peter promises him that he will leave Gwen out of it. Then Captain Stacey dies from a previous wound from the Lizard. After everything Peter comes home with eggs for aunt May. The eggs represent how he has changed.

Ressurection

Peter phases many challenges that he might not know how to solve at first, but eventually overcomes, an example of this is when he fights the lizard, he faces the lizard multiple times before finally overcoming this challenge and winning him.

Return with the Prize

He has brought back a sense of security to the city, allowing a sense of normal to continue.
