We are committed to increasing access to clear, transparent information that demystifies the application process, drawing on the experiences of current trainees and qualified clinical psychologists.

Next event: Making The Most of Your Current Role

Details:

Tuesday 28th July 6 - 7:30pm via MS Teams Webinar

There is no single route into Clinical Psychology training. Whether you're working as an Assistant Psychologist, Research Assistant, PWP, Support Worker, or in another similar role, this event will explore how you can make the most of the opportunities available in your current role and help you prepare for future applications.

The session will include short talks from speakers, followed by a Q&A, with the opportunity to submit questions in advance.

Who are we?

The King's DClinPsy Increasing Access Committee (IAC) is a trainee-led organisation at King's College London. All members of the committee are current Doctorate of Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) trainees who volunteer their time. IAC consists of two streams, the Aspiring Psychologists (AP) stream and Outreach stream. More information about both streams can be found on this Padlet.

Valued Voices Mentoring Scheme

The Valued Voices Mentoring Scheme (VVMS) is a UCL-led initiative. It forms one of four branches of the pan-London “Widening Access to Clinical Psychology” initiative, which aims to improve access to the clinical psychology profession for aspiring clinical psychologists from racially minoritised backgrounds.

Mentoring scheme applications typically open annually in the spring. Aspiring clinical psychologists from racially minoritised backgrounds can sign up to be mentored by trainee or qualified psychologists.
