I found this article interesting because it talks about how children who participate in sports tend to do better in school. This is something I always noticed in school, students who did sports always had good grades. However, this article confirmed why. They develop critical thinking and are able to focus better due to skills they gained while participating in sports.

I liked this article because it covered the fact that by teaching students about their health, specifically hand washing in this article, it resulted in thinks like a cleaner school. It helped contain infection levels therefore improving the number of children attending school. This confirmed what I already know about teaching others about health is that we see immediate improvements.

I found this article interesting because it talks about Michigan health education and how we have not seen many changes to it over the pass 18 years. One part that it highlights is adjusting our sex education programs. They want to incorporate my parent input into their programs and make sure their curriculum is parent approved. I did not know Michigan health education was so "outdated" and it will be nice to see the improvements made to it.

I liked this article because it covered a topic I never really thought of before. I never realized how homeschooled students may not be getting proper health education. This article talked about giving homeschooled students a place to learn and act on their physical health. Though it may not be available everywhere it is an amazing way to show parents how they incorporate this into their child's life. This article really opened up a new curiosity for me about the different ways we can improve health education for homeschooled children.

I liked this article because it talks about the cut in time that schools should spend doing physical activities with students. I could assume but never confirmed that schools had a mandated time in which students should be doing physical activities. In the article their mandated time cuts from 130 minutes to 40 minutes per day. I believed this cut was outrageous and should be prioritized the same way our core subjects are.
