Inhalants are types of drugs that enter the body by being inhaled, as said in its name. These drugs are usually gases or solvents. Two examples are gasoline and Lysol. These are drugs that a person could get highly addicted to if they take a whiff of this in the air, which would cause lung damage.

Addiction is a problem when a person does drugs and cannot stop. The person who is addicted to an item often craves it and overuses it. Addiction could cause depression, anxiety, poor body functions, etc. and usually originates to when the person first used it.

Withdrawal is considered to be MORE dangerous then addiction itself. This is when a person who was addicted to a drug decides to quit. If you DO manage to actually quit right away, your body will “tell you” to get that drug again, since you used it a lot. Using a drug a lot causes your body to rely on the substance you used. This would harm your body more than being addicted, due to the harsh change.

A rehab camp or center is a hospital-like place that helps people quit their addictions safely so they don’t have the negative effect of withdrawal or the negative effect of abusing drugs. Rehab often results in a positive outcome. If you do not go to a rehab center/camp, you may experience withdrawal or keep abusing the drug you’re using. Professionals control rehab, which is why you live healthily if you go.

The main cause of someone starting a drug is because of an influence. If your friend is abusing a drug, you would probably do the same because you want to fit in. Lonely people will also do it so they could be perceived as “cool.” When you start, you don’t necessarily get addicted— until you do it again to act cool. Your brain thinks it as something good so you keep doing it until you get addicted and you start craving it. There are many other causes too! You could be sick and want to be cured so you overuse it, you could be depressed, etc.

What drugs cause could also be known as diseases or long-term obstacles that could prevent you from doing things you love. Drugs could cause heart disease, drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, confusion, memory loss, depression, anxiety, addiction and even physical things. Physical changes include body size, tone of voice, low control of body movements, and acne. Other causes include more chance of committing sexual assault, getting cancer, becoming bald, jaw and teeth issues, unhealthy fetus, psychosis, and higher risk of mental illness. However, this not only happens with club or over the counter drugs, but also if you misuse prescription drugs.

Depressants is a type of drug found in alcohol or pills such as Zyprexa. These drugs are sometimes called "downers" and actually cause many things that affect your nervous system negatively. Things it could possibly cause include slow brain function, slowed pulse and respiratory system, poor concentration, dizziness, confusion, lowered blood pressure, fatigue, slurred speech, fever, sluggishness, visual disturbances, dilated pupils, disorientation, depression, (as said in name) difficulty to urinate, and addiction. Those are only SOME of the possibilities.

Your relationships with people matter. If you were to abuse a drug or misuse it, something happens to your nervous system that could harm relationships. If you abuse a drug, your nervous system gives you the urge to sexually assault someone. It could also cause memory loss or confusion, which deeply hurts those who do not want to be forgotten. You could also get depression, which means you would start shutting people out- even those who want to talk. Another problem is anxiety. Anxiety causes you to not really talk to those you normally do talk to. You could also get psychosis or a mental illness, which DEEPLY hurts people around you, physically and mentally. You could also kill a fetus if you're a pregnant woman by taking drugs. If you withdraw, mood swings could occur as well. Last, you could hurt yourself. For example, you are able to get cancer, heart disease, etc. which hurts your body and may cause death, which could harm your family members and friends more than anything stated before.

Most people smoke because of the causes listed before. However, some smoke because of stress. Excretions (sweating) increases a lot and you become more fatigued easily. You could also have a changed eating habit, and the change of your pattern of eating could dangerously affect your body. Smoking tobacco has caused over 480,000 deaths per year. A cigarette (which you smoke tobacco with) is loaded with over 7,000 chemicals, some of which being carbon monoxide, tar, r acetone, nicotine, and more. It is also proven that 9 out of 10 smokers start before the age of 18. It was actually proven that smoking cigarettes causes more deaths than heroin, crack, cocaine, murder, fire, drugs, etc. COMBINED!

Dosage is the amount of drugs a person is prescribed to take. If you got prescription drugs, (given by doctor) the bottle/box should say the amount of doses you should take. Overdosing is when you take a surplus of the amount of drugs, even though there’s a limit. Sadly, it often results in death. However, a person could be saved!

Prescription drugs are drugs that have been prescribed by your doctor. These drugs are safe drugs that should not cause any harm. However, if you overdose on them it isn't very safe anymore, since it could kill you. Over-the-counter drugs are drugs that you get from stores. This includes Tylenol. These drugs are also very safe, but again, if you overdose on it, it could be lethal or get you high. Club drugs aren't the same, however. Club drugs are drugs that could somewhat kill you if you're body doesn't recognize drugs. Prescription drugs and over-the-counter drugs are the safest, especially compared to club drugs.
