In Mangroves there are about 80 different species of this tree, these trees grow in areas with a low-oxygen soil, only slow-moving water allows it. Mangrove forests only grow at tropical and subtropical laitudes near the equator, they don't withstand freezing temperatures. The water quality in the florida keys is being harmed by pollution and contamination from run-off land or sewage in this water. This is a big problem along with storms because it also harms coral reefs and lowers its nutrients and nitrogen in mangroves.
