Lion Rock is noted for its shape. Its resemblance to a crouching lion is most striking from the Choi Hung and San Po Kong areas in East Kowloon. A trail winds its way up the forested hillside to the top, culminating atop the "lion's head".The name of the series and its eponymous theme song has since been connected to the “Lion Rock Spirit” ,used to refer to Hong Kong as a whole.

The ancestral hall is the site where the clansmen worship their ancestors or sages. It serves many purposes. In addition to "Offer Sacrifices to Ancestors", this site is used by the posterity to celebrate the weddings, funerals and birthdays. Besides, this site also serves a gathering place for discussing the important affairs.

The feudal society of ancient China embraces a deep sense of clan. Very often a family or several families with the same family name settle down in one village, and establish their own family temple to offer sacrifice to their ancestors.

There had been a long discussion about the naming of the Canton Tower since the commencement of its construction in 2005 after the groundbreaking ceremony. In September 2020, at the request of the tower's investor, Guangzhou Dailylaunched a contest for naming proposals. The contest attracted over 180,000 valid entries, among which "Haixin Tower" (Chinese: 海心塔; lit.'Tower in the Sea') was awarded the first prize. The name alluded to the city's historical setting as the start of the Maritime Silk Road and the tower's geographical proximity to Haixinsha Island. However, this name was considered obscure to people unfamiliar with the history of the city.

There is no attraction in the city that is more iconic than the skyline of Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour. In fact, one can say that the harbour was the very birthplace of the city itself. The deep waters between Hong Kong Island and the Kowloon Peninsula are why a collection of fishing villages grew to become an international centre of trade. Today, the harbour is still the city’s throbbing heart and its iconic skyline is also one of the world’s most stunning urban landscapes. With such a skyline, it deserves to been seen at more than one angle.
