This musical element was more of a conceptual idea/tool, to discern how much passion and feelings an artist implements into their music, allowing the listeners to connect more with the artist. This musical element can be seen within many songs and throughout various artists, as it solely depends on what the artist is trying to convey. Many factors contribute to the musical element, revolving around the lyrical content itself, to the tone of voice the artist is using to several other attributes. If the lyrical content contains an underlying meaning, or a point blank message, the lyrical content itself can be a representation of the musical element "heart meter". Whenever an artist uses a trembling tone, or scratchy voice, to really engage the audience into feeling how they had felt in their own msuical piece, that is also a representation of the musical element "heart meter".
