I have already eaten breakfast and my bags are packed and safely strapped to my horse, Artex. I start my long and exciting journey from Melbourne to Perth.
8:00 am
I have stopped in Ingliston for a quick snack. the sun is already up and there is a cool breeze blowing.

I have stopped for lunch in Bungal and have decided to rest under a tall gum-tree and eat my wrap. I sit there for about five minutes and then I notice a mob of kangaroos grassing on a nearby field . I hop back on Artex's back and continue my journey.

I see something long stripy and scaly in the bushes next to the path that I am taking. Its a tiger snake! I think its either hibernating or asleep but I am in no mood to find out, I tell Atrex to break into a gallop as we speed away from the snake.
6:00pm
I set up camp in and go to sleep in a place called Eversley.

I am now in western Australia and am travelling from Walgoolanto Perth. even though every muscle in my body is aching I carry on. The landscape has gone from rough and harsh to soft and highly vegetated. I wake up and packup my tent, stretcher and sleeping bag. I then unpack my breakfast and eat it. I untie and feed Atrex then start of start the days trip.

I stop under a tree somewhere to eat my snack and stare at all the open fields around me. as I get further away from Melbourne it seems to get much drier and
warmer but today it looks as if it might rain.

I have just crossed into South Australia and have decided to stopped in a small town on the eastern slopes of the Adelaide Hills called Callington. The landscape here is smooth and sloped.

as Atrex sprints and gallops across the barren plains the only signs of life I see are the occasional cacti, lizards and other desert plants. Once I reach my aim point I am completely and utterly exhausted. I fall asleep nearly instantaneously.
