Although I never met you Patrick, I feel I know you because of Brenda. She talked about you all the time. And always in the most loving of terms. I know you will be greatly missed by your family. The warmest hugs to you Brenda.

I've loved him all my life. From the first time he pulled my red pigtails, and I hit him over the head with my sand shovel, I've loved him. From the fourth grade, when he ignored my little love note, I've loved him. From the day he first friended me on Facebook, I've loved him. From our first kiss, in the San Francisco airport, I've loved him. Until I see him again, I will love him. He made me a better me, the me I became after. He let me be not capable for a while, after so many years of taking care of everybody, he took care of me. He loved me in a way I'd never been loved. He met my boys October 15, at 3:06 am. Although I never had the chance to meet Pat personally, I feel like I knew him very well through all the stories Emma has told me. Although Emma and I only met this year, we have quickly become best friends. Emma is a loyal, positive, listening, and caring person. Through the stories she has told me about her dad, it is clear that Emma is who she is because of her father. Any time I would see Emma to study or for class, she always had a story to tell about her dad. One time, we all wanted to buy matching scrubs to wear for class, and Emma was hesitant. The first thing Emma said the next day was that she and her dad were FaceTiming and he eagerly bought the scrubs for her. This was just one of many ways that Pat was truly a wonderful father. Emma would often need to sneak away from our study groups to say a quick hello to her dad through FaceTime. It was evident that although Emma has a lot of friends, her best friend was her dad. Emma and family- I’m so incredibly sorry for your loss. I pray you all find peace during this time of sorrow. Emma, your dad will always be your best friend, I know I cannot compete, and he will be with you always. Every time you need him, he will always be there, just as he was when he was physically here. May he watch over you, guide you, and protect you throughout every chapter in your life. May he Rest In Peace.

I never had the chance to meet Patrick face to face but Ive had the wonderful pleasure of becoming such close friends with his amazing daughter. The love and care emma has for her father is infinite. I cant thank pat enough for creating such a beautiful human being and for being such an amazing father to both her and her brother. He left his life having been such an incredible light for those around him. Em and I always would have deep talks on our way to studying and so I got to learn a bit about how amazing of a father Pat was. Gone from our sights but never from our hearts. Much love to Pats family. I know pat will continue to watch over and love his family from above.

Patrick walked in the Overnight's with me. He also was part of the road crew when the walks were in San Francisco. He was the logistics coordinator for the San Francisco Community Walk for the past 10 years. I miss him.
