In South African classrooms, the majority of students suffer from language barrier for example, a child who is unable to communicate with a language that is not his/hers is disadvantaged and unwilling to perform to his/her best ability.

It's not just being able to communicate well, it is also the platform which is at risk in the learning context. Another thing is that teachers are not being adequately trained and supported to teach English as a first or second additional language.

Learners must have access to relevant materials in their classrooms in order to improve their language skills. However, especially in rural areas, schools frequently lack these resources.
