Reading comprehension skills / strategies to sync with maths department with specific focus on making sense of word problems – chunking – annotation (RCUB) – common words related to maths to be taught and incorporated into student spelling list (e.g. comparative/superlative adjectives, quantifiers, conjunctions in multiple clauses, question words etc.)

? Helping students acquire simple questioning skills, “conversation starters” for assessment for learning in overall class and group discussion / s-t-s talk and pair/buddy work i.e. feedback, feedup, feedforward

? Equip students to be effective communicators with a bigger picture in mind - end goal of 6 years of language education in BPS (not limited to specific unit learning outcomes) i.e. oral presentation skills for festive occasions, ceremonies, writing ‘Thank You’, ‘Happy Mother’s / Father’s / Teachers’ Day’ cards, family / school / self-introduction, demonstrating a skill, holding a group discussion, hosting guests in school, guiding in learning journey, P1 orientation, making announcement, handling an interview (e.g. DSA, ECHA, other scholarships).
