The NP is the Transition between the Mojave Desert and the Colorado Desert

You can take part in an 6 hour long adventure or a private tour that is 16 hours long or you can join an offroad tour that takes 5 hours and costs 206$

1. Where can you go shopping?

Los Angeles is a very big city which of course has also many shopping malls. There are a total of 32 malls with 29.017 shops.
Here is a selection of the most famous of them:

The Grove
Westfield Century City
The Bloc
Slauson Mall
Downtown Santa Monica
Weller Court
Fig at 7th
Beverly Center
The Promenade at Howard Hughe Center
last but not least the South Coast Plaza which is also the largest one.

But shopping in Los Angeles can be quite expensive.Things here sometimes cost double what they cost in Germany.
This leads to the next and also the last point. The most famous & most expensive shopping street in Los Angeles is the Rodeo Drive and it is the heart of Los Angeles. There you can find a lot of stores of famous brands such as Gucci, Dior & Louis Vuitton.

2. What kind of food/ restaurants can you recommend?

In LA you will find a big variety of different dishes but there are a few california is known for:
The French dip -> sandwich with sliced roast beef served on French Bread; invented in LA
Donuts -> large part of California Culture particulary in LA; came to california trough Cambodian immigrants; in LA there are at least 680 donut shops
Burger -> LA is known for beeing the burger capitel of the USA

FUN FACT:
McDonald's began in LA; the brothers who opened the first store wanted to sell as many burgers as possible -> fast food

In LA there are a lot of restaurants from different cultures, especialy Asian, Mexican and French ones. But of course you can also get American Food:
Hatchet Hall -> American Restaurant with early and specifically American Food
Providence -> you get there really good fresh sea food and an eight course dinner menu for $295
Hayato -> Japanese Restaurant with really good and delicous japanese dishes

Yosemite National Park is a national park in the United States. It is located in California, about 300 kilometers east of San Francisco

You can do a Winter hiking tour that is 4 hours long or a Valley hiking tour for 8 hours or you can take part in a sunset tour that will take 3 hours and 30 min

San Diego Zoo

The San Diego Zoo in Balboa Park, San Diego was oppened in 1916. Its 40 ha big. It was founded by Harry M. Wegeforth who was President from 1916 till 1941. The Zoo has 3500 animals and over 650 species. In August 1921 the Balboa Land got shut down. All animals belong to the city San Diego.

Santa Monica Pier

General Information:

The Pier has two parts, the first small pier was opened in the 9. September 1909 and the one with fun attractions like the big wheel was build in 1916 by Charles Looff and his son Arthur Looff.
1924, the "La Monica Ballroom" (a dance-room) was opened, but it was closed again in 1959.
One attraction of the few that still exist to this day is the "Santa Monica Westcoaster". Its a famous rollercoaster on the Santa Monica Pier.
One of the best things about the Pier is that the entry is free.

Opening Times:

The Pier is opened everyday from 6:00 to 22:00.
But most of the attractions are opening later and closing earlier than that.

The Venice Beach

Location: The beach is in the state California the coordinates are 33.988270, -118.472023. To be more specific it’s at the coast of Los Angeles.

What: Its one of many famous places in the USA because it has a beautiful list of activities for example the beach gym, table tennis, shops, and many big skating places.

Fun fact: The Venice Beach is a place in one of the most popular games on the market. It is a Beach at the game Grand Theft Auto 5.

Sequoia NP

Sequoia National Park

Sequoia National park is located in Sierra Nevada in the east of the USA.
Together with the Kings-Canyon-Nationalpark it's one of the most visited
Parks in all of America and gets to greet over 1 million visitors every
year.

What makes it stand out from the rest?

Some of Sequoia NP's most popular sights and activities include:

-The Giant Forest Museum, a historic marked building that features
a lot of interactive exhibits and a pleasant 1 mile loop around Meadow
with trailside markers telling the story of America's second national park.

-General Sherman Tree, world's largest tree by volume.

-Tokopah Falls, located in the Tokopah Canyon its one of the highest
stretching waterfalls in the entirety of California measuring in at around
1200 feet.

-Moro Rock, a mountain with a funny dome shape i guess (also the view
from it's summit is supposed to be pretty nice)

-Tharp's Log, a fallen tree transformed ito an old cabin that the
first non-Native Americans used to house in.

What else can you do there on your own, if your not interessted in predetermined
activities for example?

Whilst your options here are suverely more limited than if you were to do
something with a guide or follow one of the already set in stone program, there
still are a couple of activities you can choose from. For example, you can climb the
priorly mentioned Moro Rock or visit the also earlier meantion Grand Tree.

Do you have to pay to enter Sequoia National Park?

Entrance to the parks is $35 per vehicle; $20 per person for pedestrians or cyclists. The entrance fee allows access to the parks for seven days. A fee for commercial vehicles is based on vehicle capacity. A Sequoia/Kings Canyon park pass is offered for $60, good for one calendar year.

Whats our group's final thoughts on Sequoia NP?

Overall we think that it's a place worth paying a visit in the future...
If you live or were to visit California that is, which none of our group members are
planing on doing in the near future.

Sequoia National Parc

Sequoia NP is a parc in California that you can visit anytime you want. The area is 3.500 km² big. If you pay 20 USD you can walk around or ride your bike while enjoying the beautiful nature and huge trees and for 10 USD more you can even ride a motorcycle around the parc. A special thing are the large, enormous, extensive, great, huge, immense and massive trees. They are 84 m big and and have a diameter of 9 m.

1. The Big Sur
Its a coast between "Carmel by the Sea" in the north and "San Simeon" in the south. The coast is 150km long which is circled by a lot of steep mountains of the "Santa Lucia Range" .The weather is usally between 48°F and 78°F (or 7°C and 21°C). The population of Big Sur is 1474, lastly recorded in 2020.

2. The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension brigde which connects the bay of "San Francisco" and the "marine county". Its an emblem of the whole bay area. The bridge gained the name "Golden Gate bridge" in 1848 during the Gold Rush from the "Captain John C. Férmont". The "American society of Civil Engineers" nominated it to the List of "Historical Civil Engineering Landmarks" in 1984 and in 1995 it got designated as a "modern Worldwonder".

Death Valley NP is located in the east of California. You can visit the 13.650 km² big park anytime you want. If you want to hike, entry doesn't cost you anything, but if you want to use a vehicle you have to pay 20 USD.
