Copy Right

Copy right is the law in the U.S. that protects the work of the authors, artists, and, or composers and others from being used without that persons permission.
For example, a good way to copy right is by when a student needs a photograph, or photographs for a class project. Then they find one that they want to use on a website. They check the copy right statements, then if it says that the site has granted students the right to use a photograph. Then you can use that photo. A bad example would be if the website that you went to said that they have not granted students the right to take any photos from that website, but that student does it anyway. That is against the law.

Fair use is something that allows someone to use a limited amount of copy right materials for school reasons. For example, the good way to use fair use is if it has an educational purpose. If you are using a small portion of it, and a few other things. The bad way is to not do any of those things.

Public domain is things that are not copy righted and may be used without permission. But you should still give credit to the website. The good way to use public domain is to put something like, i used (website name) for this project, and i like this site and will use it again, or something similar. The bad way to use it would be if didn't say anything about the site you used.
