I think they felt righteous on what they were doing and the impact on Canada right now, since women now can vote and girls can do more things than they could do before.
4. I think when the senate rejected them, they might be thinking on different ways to persuade the government for their goals. Maybe at first when they saw all the unfair things for women and girls, maybe they were thinking of ways to make things fair for women?

-Chantel and Kainos

Led by Emily Murphy, 1916's first female judge and her group including Nellie McClung, Henrietta Muir Edwards, Louie Crummy McKinney and Irene Parlby.

2. Their goal was to fight for women's and children's rights together dating back to the 1800's century. They wanted to stand up for all the women around the world who are held in poverty and deep in unfairness. They would be treated so poorly compared to men while not included in voting where they should as with fair jobs and education

3. Then they as women too, thought it was time to help with the equality as the world should work.

4. they did what they did because they knew it was the right thing to do and both genders could do as much as one could do, there was no reason for the cruelty.

Justin and Hui Yue

However, none of the famous 5 ever became a part of the senate, they opened the doors for Cairine Wilson, the first female senator.[] The achievement of personhood for women had been a monumental change which gave more power to women.
</sup>

Some might well question the overall significance of the decision, noting that by the 1920s the Senate of Canada was a largely powerless body. The more powerful House of Commons of Canada had elected its first female member (Agnes Macphail) in 1921, well before the Persons Case. However, the precedent did establish the principle that women could hold any political office in Canada. Moreover, the Five clearly did devote their energies to increasing women's participation on legislative bodies with greater power: three had been members of the Alberta legislature. The controversy surrounding the women has made commemoration difficult. The five women were activists in a variety of areas in their pursuit to better the conditions for women and children.

The famous five impacted history on canada by Winning senate rights. It would have been diffrent if they had not gone against the government and not winning senate rights.
</sup>

-Coby
