In feed a suppressed humanity is shown through the characters by not being able to be creative. They have made their society all the same, there’s little to no difference between one another. They also try to minimize everyone’s personal likings to make things simpler.

In today’s world women have dealt with laws against their bodily rights. The government wanted to suppress the women’s decision of an abortion. In some states they have chosen to ban them and proceeded to make an effort to regulate residents from helping those to get out of state abortions.

1984 helped me gain an understanding of technology, societal control and human resilience by creating a fictional world where the people showed resemblance to our world or what it could possibly become. Such as North Korea, many restrictions on their residents.

Feed taught me that although advanced technology is fascinating, it can impact you negatively when you began to rely on it.

Insights I gained from reading feed was that if humanity allows technology to replace our use of our brain, it will eliminate our ability to critically analyze, feel for others and could impact environment.

1984 conveys that if society let their government gain full power over citizens there could be negative consequences. This teaches you to think and speak for yourself in order to be heard.
