De wiere namme fan Swoon is Caledonia Dance Cury. She was born on 1978 in New London in Connecticut. At the age of nineteen, she left Florida for New York where she began painting studies at the Pratt Institute.
Inspired by famous street artists such as Banksy, Blek the Rat and Gordon Matta-Clark, she decided to leave aside the world of galleries for the world of the street.
In 2005, Swoon exhibited his works for the first time at the Jeffrey Deitch Gallery and the "Greater New York Gallery". This year marks the beginning of his recognition as a true "artist" by the world of art.

The drawings are engraved on linoleum and then printed on Mylar paper or recycled paper before being painted with acrylic.

The images are then glued to the walls in the same way as an advertising poster. The choice of paper as material is representative of Swoon's artistic motivations. It allows a certain transparency, so the work seems to blend into the old graffiti that already adorned the walls.

Swoon represents only portraits of people, most of them. Swoon thinks that the personality, the originality and the experiences of an individual are reflected on his body and his face. His portraits are as many testimonies and moments of life as artistic works.

The exhibition "Witch-Wife" is a collaboration between two artists: Swoon and Monica Canilao. Together, they present several techniques. This new group show combines painting, sculpture, installations, frescoes and xylography. Swoon signs his great return in the art galleries, which the artist had deserted in recent years.The theme of this exhibition "Witch-Wife" refers to sorcery and the interest of the two artists for this other magical world. To illustrate this topic, artists will use the 3D associated with 2D to give a depth effect to their creations.

Nee Nee in Braddock is an 8 color silk screen print on hand made paper. It is an adaptation of one of Swoon’s intricately carved linoleum block prints, depicting the streets and homes of Braddock, PA, a town where Swoon has been engaged in community based work since 2007.
