I knew this was the person I wanted to interview.

I have been friends with Kevin for many years, but I never got to know about his basketball career because he went to a different school. I see him in the newspaper all the time for the Loyola basketball games. I went to see him play, and he did not disappoint. He was all over the court, scoring, playing defense, passing, and doing everything else. I was impressed by his style of play and his leadership on the court. He showed that all the practice has paid by finally achieving his goal and playing in college.

One of the reasons I interviewed my friend, Kevin, was because he played a sport I love, basketball. I have always had an interest in the sport since I was a little kid. The other reason I interviewed Kevin was because he worked hard to become a good basketball player. He was always practicing and constantly wanted to go to the gym to work on his game.

 

I asked Kevin if he would be willing to do an interview for me, he said he would be happy to do it. The interview was ten minutes long. I asked him about injuries he endured, his high school career, and his expectations for college next year. He gave an abundance of information about his career that it was difficult to figure out what to keep and what to remove. His story will give you insight on what it is like being a high school athlete.
