         <description><![CDATA[<div>The theme of the realistic fiction novel Wonder by RJ Palacio is to never judge a book by its cover. This means that you should not judge someone by what they look like, but get to know what they are like on the inside as a person. Jack states, "First of all, you do get used to his face. Second of all, he's actually a really cool dude. Third of all, he's really smart." (Palacio 142) This theme relates to the novel by showing that you might be different on the outside, but we are all the same on the inside. There for, in the realistic fiction novel Wonder by RJ Palacio this is the theme of the story</div>]]></description>

         <title>Plot Line</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In the realistic fiction novel Wonder by RJ Palacio, the characters are Auggie, Jack, Will, Via, Summer, Julian, Auggie's Parents, and Mr. Tushman. The story takes place at Beccher Prep Middle School and at Auggie's house. The main character Auggie has a problem in the story. Auggie does not want to go to school because of he has a face deformity. Later on in nthe story Auggie's best friend Jack makes fun of him behind his back. Then the antagonist Julian calls Auggie a freak and Jack punches him. The turning point in the story is when Auggie gets separated from his friend and is confronted by kids from another school, that's when Auggie stands up for himself. When Amos rams into the leader of the other school and stands up for Auggie, this is proof that they are true friends. Before the end of the story, people started to talk to Auggie when they didn't before and no one is trying to stay away from him. At the end of the novel it is at graduation time and Auggie receives the Henry Ward Beard Award for kindness and everyone wants to be his friend.</div>]]></description>
