Over the course of his military career, he performed in a number of roles, such as instructor pilot, flight commander, assistant director of operations for the 1st Special Operations Squadron, and chief of operations for the Air Force Special Operations School. Altogether, Kevin Camilli completed over 300 missions, including guiding tsunami-relief efforts in Asia and managing the air campaign for Operation Enduring Freedom-Philippines. Today, Kevin Camilli maintains responsibilities as president and CEO of Grey Aviation Advisors and Solutions, Inc., which he formed to provide aviation solutions to military and government organizations and agencies. Owing to his leadership, the company is solidifying its foundation in industry leveraging strategic partnerships with domestic and foreign agencies. Kevin Camilli continues to strengthen his business interests by recognizing the growing value of unmanned aviation. sUAS are rapidly becoming an available technology where multiple commercial and military organizations and agencies are looking to improve their performance. The AFA recently released a statement of support for Dr. Heather Wilson, who the Senate confirmed to as Secretary of the Air Force earlier this year. An Air Force Academy alumnus, Dr. Wilson went on to pursue her graduate work at Oxford University, where she studied as a Rhodes Scholar. During her tenure in Congress, Dr. Wilson supported many of the AFA’s causes. 

Speaking on the confirmation, AFA board chairman secretary F. Whitten Peters praised Dr. Wilson’s commitment to the organization, as well as the Air Force as a whole, throughout her career. Earlier this year, the AFA rolled out its inaugural Wounded Airmen Cycling Challenge. The event was conceived as a fundraiser to help support the efforts of the AFA’s Wounded Airmen and Family initiatives. The AFA had originally hoped to bring in $50,000 through the fundraiser but was able to exceed that figure by an additional $4,000. 

AFA president Larry O. Spencer expressed pride that the event was such a success and able to surpass its fundraising goals.
