My father taught me the importance of being responsible and how taking care of what I was supposed to would help me to have more opportunities and allow me to get ahead in life. Fortunately, I heeded (listened to) his advice and as a result, I have been able to enjoy all kinds of experiences that demand responsibility. Whether it was living on my own since I was 18, to being a supervisor in the Navy, to coaching and being a teacher, I have succeeded because I take my responsibilities seriously and continually work to do be better.
