Principals will communicate with families particular news of individual schools via email, phone, student folders in the form of a weekly news letter. 

Each school in the district will maintain a Google Classroom, and will encourage and monitor reciprocal participation in the Google Classroom between families and schools. 

Encourage family participation in school board meetings through calendars, emails and robocalls.  Provide notification via established communication channels of the location and times of meetings. Provide a fact sheet about why attendance to board meetings matter and that all stake holders have important contributions to offer.  

Communication will be open and welcoming. Communication on the phone will be professional and courteous and without long waiting times. Communication via email will be grammatically correct, professional, accessible and without educational jargon. Communication in person will present families with a warm physical atmosphere and presentable professionals. Interim reports will be mailed/sent home in the middle of each quarter term so that educators, students and families will be able to make adjustments prior to the official report cards are finalized.  

Teachers will be encouraged to update their grade book daily so that families may assess their students' performance on a daily basis so that adjustments may be made in small increments, thus will be more manageable for families and students. Additionally, families will be provided with login information for each student's online grade book provided by the school district website.

Teachers will be encouraged to create a Google Classroom for each class and post assignments, updates, enrichment opportunities, reminders, newsletters etc.  Parents will be given these logins as well.  

Teachers' qualifications will be made available to families and this availability will be communicated through the established formal communication channels.

All standardized test scores will be made available to families. Schools will participate in the dissemination of this informational and supporting families in understanding their meaning and how to interpret results. The district will provide full and expedient transparency to families (and the community when deemed absolutely necessary) when a crisis occurs.  

The crisis management plan will be provided to families.  

Following a crisis, the district will communicate the status of the issue and provide follow up information to families as soon as possible. Students' privacy will be honored in all communications about crisis'.

General rights will be communicated to all parents and guardians regarding FAPE.

Additional rights, as they become more relevant due to individual circumstances will also be communicated. It truly does take a village to raise a child.  Stake holders have entrusted their children to our hands, and the least we can do is clearly communicate to them how we are educating them and caring for them.
