I'm a science (physics) educator.

My journey with students started back in 1993, in one of the Aditya Birla schools.

Over a period of many years, I have been associated with a few more schools and met a host of interesting people.

My stint in VGS started in 2016, and then again in 2018.

I believe in the innate goodness within each and every individual, whatever be their overt manifestation.

India has a rich heritage of spirituality, the veins of which run through our thought, speech and action.

Liberation of the self by selfless service to all...the motto of Swami Vivekananda appeals to me.

Currently, I’m teaching Social Studies to grades VI-VIII for almost past 2 years, a role that allows me to nurture young minds and contribute to their academic growth.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with students from diverse backgrounds, which has enriched my teaching methods and deepened my understanding of the importance of inclusivity and adaptability in the classroom.

I firmly believe that a balance of discipline and care develops mutual respect, creating an environment where students feel valued and motivated to learn.

In addition to my commitment to student growth, I continually strive for personal growth as an educator. I actively seek opportunities to expand my teaching toolkit, embracing new methodologies and staying updated with educational advancements.

I’m Chogyal Bhutia, a Social Science teacher at VidyaGyan School, Sitapur, since 2018. My journey in education has reinforced a simple yet profound truth: learning never truly ends. Wisdom can emerge from anyone or anything like a person, a moment, or even nature itself.

After completing my post-graduation, I joined VidyaGyan, and over the years, I have come to appreciate it as a space filled with both immense opportunities and unique challenges. This environment has continually pushed me to broaden my perspectives and evolve as an educator and as an individual.

Beyond teaching, I enjoy strategy games, solo traveling, and indulging in my passion for graphic design, particularly in print and publication.

My approach to education is centered on preparing our students for the real world, not just the idealized version that society often portrays. To cultivate this mindset, I conduct TED-style talks with my students, sharing insights from my own experiences and encouraging them to do the same. I’m Debatra Rajak, and I’m from Kolkata, West Bengal. My journey as an educator began in 2019, and over the years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching in various schools across different states. I hold an M.Sc. in Zoology and am also B.Ed. qualified. Additionally, I have cleared the CTET and STET exams, which have further supported my academic foundation.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked in esteemed institutions like G.D. Goenka Public School and Jaipuria Group of Schools, where I served as the Head of the Science Department. I am honored to have received the Best Teacher Award for an academic year at G.D. Goenka Public School as well.

For me, teaching is not just a job—it's a passion and a privilege. I believe in fostering meaningful interactions with my students and helping them visualize the fascinating world of science. Being a class teacher has been equally fulfilling, offering me the opportunity to mentor and guide my students. The relationships I’ve built and the lessons I’ve learned from them have added deep meaning and purpose to my life. VidyaGyan has been a significant and rewarding part of my journey. Returning to teach at the very school where I once studied has been a heartfelt experience — a way of giving back to the institution that shaped me.

Beyond the classroom, I enjoy traveling, reading, and spending time in nature. Continuous learning is my passion, and I’m committed to inspiring my students to see the beauty of mathematics while growing alongside them every step of the way.

I believe that students learn best when they work cooperatively and develop understanding using prior experience, discourse, and reasoning. I try my best to provide an active mathematical environment where learners can enjoy the delight of learning and gain confidence from the process of exploring and building knowledge. From my 24 years of teaching experience, I feel that the role of a teacher is complex and diverse. A simple lecture based teaching is obsolete now.

I try to create innovative resources in the form of short videos and constructive worksheets. I am also using technology for designing instructions that enable students to learn by doing and to align the curriculum according to the level of students for effective teaching-learning process. I like to use technology for various applications on Mathematics as a drill exercise for students.

I make a continuous effort to motivate students to actively examine and extend their thinking and to shape a conversational environment in which they share and construct their own critical thinking. In a word, teachers make the classrooms that maximize students' learning.

I am Seshagiri Jonnalagadda, an enthusiastic Computer Science educator with over 15 years of teaching experience in CBSE schools. I have spent 12 years as a PGT Computer Science, teaching and mentoring students in Delhi Public School, Vijayawada, and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, where I worked closely with senior secondary students, guiding them in advanced programming concepts, database management, and computational applications. I am Olivia Dey, and I have been teaching English to grades 6-8 at VidyaGyan for the past seven years. When I first joined, fresh out of university, I was still transitioning from a student to a teacher. I often say that I learned how to teach by teaching itself—after all, as the saying goes, teaching is learning twice.

Over the years, my students have become the heart of my journey. Teaching isn’t just my profession—it’s my greatest source of joy. No matter what kind of day I’m having, the moment I step into the classroom, their energy, curiosity, and laughter fill me with purpose. Watching them grow, express themselves, and embrace learning fuels my passion and reaffirms why I chose this path.

I believe in the power of creativity—not just in teaching methods, but in how we nurture young minds to think freely and dream boundlessly.
