-Before the incoming of the mass tourism, Venice has topped travelers’ bucket lists for centuries.
-Now the city is groaning under the weight of tourism and cruises.
-A lot of craft shops have been replaced by some souvenir shops.
-“Venice is a one-industry city; it relies on tourism“ said a resident.
-Venetians have staged frequent protests -pushed up rents and forced many families out of their hometown.

Venice is a famous italian city. Its peculiarities are beauty,romanticism and the fact that it is a lagoon.Another feature is that it is very expansive.
We have read an article describing the resentment of a man,forced to pay 43$ for two coffees and two waters. The gentelman decided to publish his receipt on his facebook page, and the news became so viral.
The cafe's management claimed that te customers do not pay attention because they told them that they will pay more if they sit outside.
The difference with the others cafes is that it is the only one not to be clear.

Venice mayor proposes charging day-trippers

Due to the recent negative activities tourists had done and numerous failed solutions in order to maintain visitors under control; the Venice's mayor has re-proposed the law to charge day-trippers.
The law consists of charging the tourists to enter the downtown area, thus the frustration of the locals will decrease and the liveability will improve; said Venice's mayor Luigi Brugnaro in an interview with Corriere.

-Kayaks, pedalos and paddleboards used as recreational boats will be banned in the lagoon city of Venice.
-However the traditional 'gondolas' , and other iconic Venetian boats won't be included in banned list.

With the ban that came into force in August 1st, the city of Venice decided to take severe measures (crackdown) on the use of recreational boats like canoes, kayaks, pedalos and paddleboards, that have been banned from its main waterways, like the Gran Canal.

However watercraft owned by resident of Venice’s historic centre or by companies regulated by the local authority are exempt from the ban, exept for dinghies and other inflatables that are entirely banned.
