I chose this particular idea because of the importance of being intentional towards all students and the need to provide services and supports for not only those that are struggling but also those that are in gifted and talented programs. MTSS includes Response to Instruction and Intervention (RtI²) as well as additional, distinct philosophies and concepts.MTSS provides a basis for understanding how California educators can work together to ensure equitable access and opportunity for all students. 

I chose this quote because it really reiterated how MTSS is a framework to help all students in an inclusive environment. MTSS is about providing support for students to succeed academically, socially and behaviorally. MTSS is important because it helps ensure equity and opportunity for students to meet Common Core Standards.
