It represents the free market economy in America and illustrates individualism. A free market economy allows anybody to open a business and make their own choices on how to run it. That means they have to decide on what to do that will benefit all of America and not only what is good for only a small proportion.  The third picture represents a therapist. A therapist is an example of diffuseness because they have to look at the overall picture of what could be wrong with the patient. They can't just focus on small details. Therapists have to put together pieces of information to create a diagnosis. The last picture represents an editor for a newspaper. The editor decides what is published in the newspaper. They have to think about what the public wants to hear.
