People are talking about banning "To Kill A Mockingbird" becasue of the so called racial language that is being used. The main reason that I think the author wrote this was to tell people that think this is racist that it was just a part of our history. They are not trying to be racist but using the n - word, to some people, think it is. I totally disagree with this because it is just part of our history and trying to teach us something. I disagree with this just because of a word people don't understand. That was history and how things were.

In article 3 the main argument is why are we still teaching 'To Kill a Mockingbird' in Schools int the article it list reasons why students feel uncomfortable reading To Kill a Mockingbird for reasons such as the books language and its use of the word "nigger" which could be causing problems. But the article also states why it is crucial for the book to be taught in schools because it provokes good discussions. I agree with this article because the book should be taught in schools to show the history of the Scottsboro boys in a more interesting way by reading this book.

The main argument of the first article was a review to Kill a Mockingbird in 1962. The author of the article says that the movie was great and to be congratulated for a job well done. I agree with this because everything that the author talked about was the direction and the actors playing in the movie. they only had one bad mark in the review but everything else that they said was good and that overall it was a good movie.

The main argument of this article is to show that this story, book, and movie are a way for us to see how life was in the 1930's and how powerful a young child can be to make someone realize what they are doing is not right. The author's reasoning for this is Scout a 6 year old girl learning from her father that race means nothing about the goodness of a person was able to take in all of this a a young child and do some amazing things even like turning a whole rioting crowd away from her father. I agree with everything in this article besides when the author refers to the 1930's as a more innocent time. I believe that even though the world is not perfect now that back then it should not be considered innocent, the whole book focuses on how blacks were mistreated and killed even if they were not in fault for what they were blamed for just because their skin color, and to me that is no where near innocent.
