The main reason that I think the author wrote this was to tell people that think this is racist that it was just a part of our history. But the article also states why it is crucial for the book to be taught in schools because it provokes good discussions. The author of the article says that the movie was great and to be congratulated for a job well done. I agree with this because everything that the author talked about was the direction and the actors playing in the movie. they only had one bad mark in the review but everything else that they said was good and that overall it was a good movie.

The author's reasoning for this is Scout a 6 year old girl learning from her father that race means nothing about the goodness of a person was able to take in all of this a a young child and do some amazing things even like turning a whole rioting crowd away from her father. I agree with everything in this article besides when the author refers to the 1930's as a more innocent time.
