1) should we consider some people who change team leads every year vs others who have had the same TL each year? What are the pros and cons - do we need to monitor so the same person doesn't change annually?
2) To add to the above - relationships are key.
3) Our team leads all spoke to needing to direct people - how to move into more of a coaching model given the constraints of timing, location, etc.

For Letticia: I found the equity piece you saw really interesting. You weren't originally there to focus on that but it turned out to be a huge coaching moment that changed how that teacher practiced. Thank you for sharing.

Feedback for Letticia:
Awesome presentation! Thanks for the reminder about aspects of Cognitive Coaching.

Kudos to the team:
It sounds like you've had a lot of success with these challenging coachees by switching into directive/ consulting mode when needed. It seems that this is what they need when they are missing the skills or knowledge to do what they are asking, well done on your facilitation of this process. Thank you for sharing about how you are doing this! You also are up against so many professionalism or "mental health" concerns, I am impressed with how you are navigating this tricky territory!

My questions to the team:
1. How do you set up the coaching role with your coachees proactively? How might you want to add to that process next year?
2. How might you use the Mind the Gap tool to support your thinking, and/or you might be able to use this directly with your coachees. (They can read it and/or just look at the graphic with you and they can talk about what they think their gaps are. Heads up: if it's in the domain of Emotional Intelligence, you can show them the E.I. Coaching Lens because it has structures for thinking about this area, which can be charged if not handled gently.)

3- Disequilibrium - teachers/therapists can experience this feeling and can cause behaviors in the coachee. Identifying how people feel can help to remove some of the "clutter" and you can get to the coaching.

Relationships- one of they ways that you all supported your SLP with coaching was to build your relationship with them. I wonder what you are doing to really build those relationships early on? Are there ways that you are systematic with building relationships?

Taking care of conduct expectations prior to getting into the coaching: This was another theme that I heard; you all had to remove these issues as part of the relationship building process. What might that mean for next year?

Letticia: I love how the Art of Coaching actually labels all of the practices that have worked for me over the years. Inquiry and change management; Listen, Think, Respond, Emotional intelligence, These are concepts that I use daily but utilized similar language to communicate and use.
