Would you rather be a red dot in a blue painting, or a blue dot? Everyone will note and judge the red dot as an oddity while if you are the blue dot you will be seen much like everyone else and will not be judged individually. Much like how people can be afraid of being in the spotlight of attention, being seen as an oddity, people want to just blend into the crowd and not be judged as them and instead want to just be seen as an average joe. But I can't blame anyone who is like this, because I am myself. It takes huge courage to stand out of the crowd, so that's why we coast rather than be our best.
Mr. Kulchar's Worst Student 😉
