Kovner was responsible for writing a call to revolt. In front of the 150 attendees gathered together at 2 Straszuna Street in a public soup kitchen, Abba proclaimed an infamous quote.

This effort was doomed and costed him alot of wasted time. He also started helping survivors to make their way to the land of Israel, and he settled there too.
