Beach Cleanup

More than 5 trillion pieces of trash are on our beaches and floating into the ocean. Not only does the trash ruin our beaches, but it hurts animal life and is causing some to become extinct. In order to save our beaches and animals, we need to start cleaning up after ourselves and make a change.

All you need in order to make a change in the world is a trash bag and gloves. Even if you don't fill the trash bag up all the way, at least effort is being made.

I felt that cleaning the beach was a bit stressful, but overall fun. I chose to clean the beach because I enjoy being at the beach whenever I get the chance to and want to be able to enjoy it without having to feel like it is a garbage pile. Simple struggles I faced while cleaning the beach was the wind. The wind made the trash run away from me and I had to do a bit of chasing. I learned that a simple thing like picking up trash can make a huge difference in the world.

The plan in order to complete the community service was to go to the beach with a trash bag and gloves and find trash to pick up. Although it may have been more difficult than I thought it would be, it turned out to be a success.

In the book, "The boy who Harnessed the Wind", William builds a windmill in order to help out his community. Although I cannot build something in order to help, cleaning the beach is a way of helping the community and wildlife.
In the book, "Animal Farm", the animals come together as a group to bring down humans. While the goal isn't to overthrow humans, gathering together for a community service can make a difference. Comparing a service to Animal Farm, dedication and teamwork is needed in order to make a change and help our world.
