A troubling problem starts to take stage,

Governments ignorant to the citizens pain,

Leaves us questioning if we are on the right page.

The governments, entrapped in politics' hold,

As legal rights are tossed aside,

“Whispers” of dissent in every ear,

My respect towards this country has been sold,

My comfort and pride,

Long gone through all of these years.

Peoples' madness, voices in a raging spree,

Democratic country, where's the path we once knew?

I thought we could do better, make the world see,

In unity and compassion, our dreams should be true ,

For in the heart of our land, let freedom thrive and be.
