         <description><![CDATA[<div><em>The street smog was moist against my fat pinched arms, the toxic exhaust spewed from the alley pipes as I retrieved my ball.</em></div><div><br></div><div><em>My worn out slip-ons slapped against the gross pavement as I made my way towards my toy, it had rolled under the dumpster.</em></div><div><br></div><div><em>The sharp pebbles had dug into my frail knees when I bent down to get a good look under the dumpster, that was until… I heard it.</em></div><div><em>Yapping was heard from down the alley, was that.. A dog?</em></div><div><br></div><div><em>One foot in front of the other, I stepped cautiously..</em></div><div><br></div><div><em>“Hello?”</em></div><div><br></div><div><em>Dogs were so very rare in the outskirts of Ft. Longerjohnson, it almost frightened me. I haven't heard the yap of one in quite a while.</em></div><div><br></div><div><em>My ears began to take in an ear piercing ringing, what the..</em></div><div><br></div><div><em>“There you are..”</em></div><div><br></div><div><em>A cloaked figure emerged from the vast heap of shadows and dauntlessly approached me, as if I were the merest of threats. Which in reality, I truly was.</em></div><div><br></div><div><em>His features I began to take in, a long inky black cloak covered his psychique entirely.</em></div><div><em>Scarlet robes complementing his murky attire.</em></div><div><br></div><div><em>But the most disturbing feature which stays tucked in the back of my mind to this day…</em></div><div><br></div><div><em>Was his helmet.</em></div><div><em>The mold of his helmet was that of a dog, or perhaps a wolf. It had foreign pattering carved into a vexed expression.</em></div><div><br></div><div><em>This man was a furry..</em></div><div><br></div><div><em>It was so quick and fluent, the motion.</em></div><div><br></div><div><em>My vision clouded and blurred. I dropped to my knees, taken aback.</em></div><div><br></div><div><em>“...You won’t be needing this.”</em></div><div><br></div><div><em>And he vanished just as quick as he came.</em></div><div><br></div><div><em>I look down…</em></div><div><br></div><div><em>There was so much room between my legs…. Where….?</em></div><div><br></div><div><em>No…</em></div><div><br></div><div><em>NO!!!!!!!!</em></div><div><br></div><div><em>My wang is gone.<br><br>- - -<br><br></em>The lamp flickered in the corner of my eye, pulling what's left of sleep out of me. Cold sweat exudes from my temple.</div><div><br></div><div><em>That stupid dream again…</em></div><div><br></div><div>I roll over, cot creaking and groaning as I turn to the lamp.</div><div>It was making that buzzing sound again, the sound that makes you feel like it will explode in your sleep as you wake up to no more light.</div><div><br></div><div>But that’s when the feeling kicks in, the feeling of no more light.</div><div>Not being able to peer into the dark corner with no illumination and ponder what is out to get you.</div><div>Almost as if the nefarious beings in your dreams followed you out of the world of slumber and into the one place you felt safe; your room.</div><div><br></div><div>The incident happened fourteen years ago.. And these f-cking dreams won’t lay off.</div><div><br></div><div>Those d-mn furries…</div><div><br></div><div>I pull my legs up to my chest and sigh.</div><div>Illumination leaks through my blinds, making my bedroom more vibrant.</div><div><br></div><div>I couldn’t help but wonder, will today be the day?</div><div><br></div><ul><li>-&nbsp; &nbsp; -</li></ul><div><br></div><div>Every joint in my body cracked and popped as I trudged down the hallway towards the living room to see Felix, sprawled out on the couch with my cat, Noodle. (His name was Wiglet but we sadly discovered he only responds to Noodle)</div><div><br></div><div>I laughed at the sight, he must have come home early last night as did I a little before.</div><div><br></div><div>We both work at a bar called The Dizzy Donkey, it was really the only place willing to accept two unemployed delinquents.</div><div><br></div><div>That's what we’re seen as, visually.</div><div><br></div><div>But being called a delinquent really isn't all that bad.</div><div>In all honesty, <em>every</em> single person down here in this city is a delinquent. Only the ones who owned shops and were actually somehow successful were seen as old killjoys who only ever focused on having money in their pocket.</div><div><br></div><div>The streets are filled with people with no homes and there isn't a wall here that doesn't have graffiti on it.</div><div><br></div><div>There's never a time when there isn't a deal going on in an alley somewhere, there's never a time a shop is being robbed of its goods and nothing being done about it, and there's never a time a bar fight gets out of hand.</div><div><br></div><div>And that's where me and Felix step in, as bartenders.</div><div><br></div><div>And that's the ONLY reason why we got accepted for the job is because we know how to throw a punch.</div><div><br></div><div>Three soft knocks push me from my thoughts, knowing exactly who it was.</div><div><br></div><div>Everyone else whoever knocks knock like the popo, but there's only one person who lightly knocks three times-</div><div><br></div><div>“Doris! Come in.”</div><div><br></div><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>WHY IS MY BOOTY AS THE COVER IMAGE</title>

Noodle bunted against Doris’s hand, almost lifting his mood.</div><div><br></div><div>“Oh, I’m alright. Just worked overtime… <em>again</em>.”</div><div><br></div><div>Noodle made himself comfortable on Door’s lap, loudly purring.</div><div><br></div><div>Noodle hated anyone who dropped by Emery’s apartment except these three.</div><div>He’d hiss at the slightest sound outside coming from an unfamiliar voice, though he adored this trio.</div><div><br></div><div>Felix sat up from his spot on the couch, wang shifting in his black cargo pants.</div><div><br></div><div>“How’d it go?” He rubbed his eyes, boogie green hair in every direction.</div><div><br></div><div>Door sighed, “Apparently everyone is sick and called in, so I was the only one on duty.”</div><div><br></div><div>Door worked as a security guard upstairs, he guarded the council hall.</div><div><br></div><div>“I see, you should go lay down in the extra room.” Emery stated, then glanced at Felix’s tangled hair, “Me and Felix gotta work today-”</div><div><br></div><div>Emery stopped herself, eyes widening. “SHH!”</div><div><br></div><div>Door instinctively covered Noodle, holding him close and hiding him.</div><div><br></div><div>The sound…</div><div><br></div><div>Its claws tapped against the oily concrete in the alleyway outside the window, its aura almost instantly crushed the three.</div><div><br></div><div>Felix lunged from his spot on the couch towards the lamp, turning it off and crouched in the corner as Doris handed Emery Noodle and locked the door in just a few swift motions.</div><div><br></div><div>And now they held still, even the slightest movement could leak their location within seconds.</div><div><br></div><div>The thing outside growled, its hairy silhouette shone brightly against the blinds of Emery’s apartment, casting a shadow against the carpet.</div><div><br></div><div><strong><em>It was a furry..</em></strong></div><div><br></div>]]></description>
