Review: This bookis an inspirational book that tells, women, but especially women of color that anything is possible if you put your mind to it and you do not let others talk you down.

Review: A novel that illustrated the life of three sisters that go to visit their mother that left them to become a Black Panther and read poetry. This heartbreaking story takes place in California, where their mother is arrested later in the book, and the girls are left for themselves to lean on. 

Age/Audience: This book is great for third through eighth graders that feel a level of neglect at home, a novel that they can relate to, but also find hope in.

Review: The gruesome animated version of the Holocaust. The mice are depicted as Jews, pigs are Polish, cats are the Nazis/Germans, and dogs as Americans (or non-Jewish, Polish, German, or French).

Age/Audience: The book is targeted for those that are thirteen and older, for seventh graders, that need a clearer understanding of the horrific Holocaust.

Review: The book depicts a sort of twisted utopian world, one that Marxist believed that everyone would have one day. But when a young boy tries to find out why everything happens, the book is left with deafening suspense.

Review: A graphic novel, that animates the life of a boy named Greg Heffley. In this particular novel, Greg's town has a snowball fight and rivals and bullies come together and have it out in a snowball fight.

Review: A captivating novel about a young boy that tells the story how he had to help a friend save his family from captivity in America; Elijah, an eleven year-old from Canada, leaves Canada and witnesses all the hardships his parents had to go through before he was born. 

Age/Audience: This book is appropriate for third graders through eighth graders that tells the story of a free boy that was born to slaves, but he decided to help a friend get back the money that was stolen from him to free the friend's family in America.

Review: Edwin Binney, the German original creator of Crayola Crayons, alongside his cousin, Harold Smith, was bored of the black all over the factory job that he had, so he then started to experiment with color. He tried and tried, with his team to perfect the colors, shades, pigments and prices of these crayons. Binney was also inspired by children and he allowed the kids to help his name the colors of crayons as well. 
Age/Audience: This book would be perfect for first graders to third graders o encourage them to never give up on big dreams!
