I feel like I really invested myself further into watercolor, before this year I always disregarded any material that wasn't graphite or ink.
What artistic struggles did you learn from?  I feel like I defiantly learned from my lack of speed in completion this year, and the importance of finding ways to work on my own time. Instead of rushing to finish my work I find its better to give up my time to put more effort into my work.
As you pursue art for pleasure or maybe even as a future career, what subjects or new approaches would you like to try? I would defiantly love to learn more about oil pastels, as I had plenty of fun with them over the summer into high school, and it was my goal to look into them further. for the piece "Fritz's dad" I used realism, graphite, unexpected perspective, and eventually watercolor. For "Smoke In City" I used watercolor, ink, stylized, and unexpected perspective again.
 How did you use them -- explain any changes that occurred as you worked.  What aspects of your artwork are strongest in your opinion?
For Piece No.2 I feel like the strongest is probably the beginning when I worked with graphite, but once I got bored of it I went to watercolor which I feel like I'm not as strong in. For piece No.1, again I got lazy after having to do ssh many small lines. I feel like learning to blend the watercolor was something I grew in a lot.
What did you learn about media, composition, or approach by working on your independent project?
I learned that graphite layers well over watercolor, and that straight on perspectives make the piece look less interesting if theres nothing to tie it in; This goes fro both pieces.
