The nation of Israel religious groups are mainly made of Christians and Jews. Although there is no official religion for Israel, the Declaration of Independence claims Israel is a Jewish state. Basic Law of Human Dignity and Liberty guarantees religious freedom for Israel. Smaller religions are not hindered, but recognized groups have more benefits. Israel is the last country to have Judaism as a main religion. Jerusalem is also considered to be where Muhammad rose into heaven, so Israel naturally has the Islamic culture as a major religion.
I got my info at: http://link.galegroup.com/apps/doc/CX4017200195/GVRL?u=j079901103&sid=GVRL&xid=f5375db7.

Israel is mainly organized by the fact that it's populated mainly by immigrants. The ethnic groups are identified by the titles of Ashkenazim(Jews from America/Europe) and Sephardim(Jews from Africa/Asia). The main problem that Jews see is the difference in their ways of living. This is did played by the fact that the Sephardim are considered lowest on the political and social totem pole.

Israel has some interesting customs. For example, if you invite someone to a restaurant, that means YOU are paying for the meal. There is NO splitting up the bill in Israel. Another thing is that security is more strenuous than other countries. When you enter a public place, like a subway, your bag will be searched. Do not be offended, they do this for everyone to stop weapons and other dangerous items from entering their country.

Like most countries, Israel's main way of getting money is to export. In the past years, this need to export has grown more because of the immigrants coming. Israel has a relatively high standard of living, and this isn't cheap to supply to their growing population. However, most of the immigrants are educated, which means they can help to find ne ways to grow the economy. If you were to go to a store or restaurant, you would see people wearing normal shorts and a T-shirt. However, if you go to Jerusalem or another religious place, you have to dress modestly.
