If I found out I was having a baby as a teen, I wouldn’t know what to do with myself. I would probably cry my eyes out. I would tell the baby’s father and most likely decide with him what we should do and who we should tell. I wouldn’t tell my parents right away. I would only tell them if and when we decide to keep the baby. Abortion is definitely an option for me. I would be worried on how I would provide for my baby. My fear is not giving my baby a life they deserve because of the age I have. I’m still in school and I don't have a stable job. They would be missing out on most of my time/attention and being with both of their parents. I doubt I would be able to go to my family for support, so that would definitely be a fear of mine. How we would raise the child is another concern of mine. I would be too busy with work, school, and raising a baby. I feel like I wouldn’t be understood. That would most likely lead to the loss of many friends. My relationship with the father of the baby might be affected by this as well. Problems like how we’re raising the baby and if we’re going to be together might come up. I probably wouldn't have any free time like most teens have. This was probably the result of social media making teens obsessed with best friends having kids around the same time so then their kids can be “BFFs”. A lot of teens also feel as though they are mature enough to have kids and make the mistake of getting pregnant. Some teens want a baby to keep their relationship intact. These are just some examples I’ve seen on TV. The common reason though is not that they wanted to have baby but that they accidentally got pregnant. The baby’s father and I would share baby time. This meaning I would get some days and he would get the other. During the time we have the baby we have to obviously do the overnight feedings, diaper changes, etc. I guess if we were older sharing baby time would be easier since we would most likely be living together. As parents we have to both cover the cost of all things pertaining to the baby. It is difficult for teens to share responsibilities. They live in different houses and would have to share the baby.----Maria

It showcases all the bad in having a baby at this age. They rarely show the good moments. It shows how bad parenting can lead to having teen pregnancies. If the parents of these teen moms taught them about the consequences of having sex and possibly watched over them more; they wouldn’t be pregnant as a teenager. These teen moms struggle to provide for the baby and maintain healthy relationships with everyone in their life. If they choose abortion they are choosing to terminate the pregnancy. Abortion is very safe, but there are more risks the longer they wait. And it can be harder to get an abortion as time goes by. This option very common among teenagers. If they were to choose parenting they would be choosing to give birth and raise the child. Choosing adoption would require you to give birth but you will be giving up the child to someone else, forever.
