❄️ WINTER SALON THEME BRAINSTORM by Grace Chun

Final decision on a Winter Salon 2023 theme coming soon!

Please heart the ideas that you support and feel free to share any events, speakers, imagery, etc. that you imagine with each of them! Just a reminder -- these themes function as a prompt for our student speakers to go off of, so we want to offer a space where they can share their stories!

oo i like the idea of something like "true north". especially knowing that some cultures don't use cardinal directions -- what even are directions? what is north to someone that has no reference of what that is? what meaning does direction have if you don't know where you're going in the first place? meaning is found in that process of going, of doing, of pursuing ?? that's the TRUE north ??? idk idk idk

How do you find your way when lost?

Could also be interpreted as the compass that helps draw circles. Can examine how you can measure the distance between points (maybe represent journeys or someone's growth), draw arcs (character growth), and draw perfect circles (looking at cycles, how things connect to each other, etc.)
