The mentor moved the speaker and set the tone by inviting them in with an inquiry question. Then the conversation flowed with paraphrasing for clarification—the focus from challenges to celebration allowed for reflection on next steps.

Mentor did a nice job paraphrasing to start. She allowed processing time when the speaker did not have an immediate response - this did not feel awkward at all.
