Effects of Model-based Teaching on Teachers' Conceptions of the Moon, Moon Phases, and Other Lunar Phenomena

This paper analysed the effects of model-based teaching on pre-service physics teachers' conceptions of the moon, moon phases, and other lunar phenomena. The results of this investigation show that teacher's preconceived misconceptions about the moon, moon phases and other lunar phenomena were corrected through the use of model-based learning. This encourages me to use such methods when teaching this topic to students.

This paper analyses the effects of the context-based approach on students' conceptual understanding: "The umbra, the solar eclipse and the lunar eclipse". The results of this investigation found that using CBLA was more effective than using the 5E model as it helped to reduce misconceptions. I may use this approach instead when teaching this specific topic to students.
