It is a rare natural disaster where dissolved carbon dioxide (CO2) suddenly erupts from deep lake waters, forming a lethal gas cloud that can suffocate wildlife, livestock, and humans.

This happens if magma rises from under the earth which releases CO2 which dissolves in the water making an explosion. another way it can occur is if there is an earthquake under the waters. It can disturb the stability of lake sediment, releasing trap gas.

"Breaking news" there has been a limnic eruption that happened in Africa. We are going to drive there quickly. When I got there I noticed that there were broken trees that collapsed and were very wet. Here we have Hank with us to interview. "What did you see", the news reporter said. " I saw water exploding then there came a big explosion that caused a tsunami but also an avalanche" Hank told the news reporter. "Wow, are you okay?"said the news reporter. These rare disasters happened because there are volcanoes underwater that erupt. "Alright this interview is over for today.
