Data driven instruction to me states that the data is showing how students are understanding the information presented and or how they conceptulize and able to use the information or retain it.

Allowing data to INFORM instruction. So, you must collect data before, during and after instruction in order to allow it to guide the curriculum and instruction process.

The first thing that came to mind was administrators breathing down my neck (lol) and I think that's because it's hard for me to imagine data informing the actual day to day classroom procedures. But I also love data and I use data in my art practice and can see how it could be useful. but as a specials teacher a lot of the data (iready) is not accessible to me.
