Often, drugs are used as part of social functions and they can be difficult to avoid. For some, a drink or two at a party is enough while others regularly black out and have to be carried home. For example, if poor people or people of color smoke crack it is an issue but if middle-class, white college students snort cocaine they are just having fun.
