3b Continental Colonialism: There are 10 standards in a two week unit. It might be difficult to touch on all of them. We like that there are learning targets that make it easy to post to daily agendas so students know what they are learning about. We also like that the bundling includes the connections between Jim Crow and Displacement Removal. We also like the idea of using geospatial technology for student learning.

Eight standards to be covered in 2 weeks is a lot. In this unit in particular, there is a lot of opportunity to see themselves in the curriculum more compared to other units, so it would be really nice to dig in more and spend more time on this.

For the Cultural Identity unit I have not previously bundled the 19th century immigration and more modern immigration topics. I will have to think of how I might do that in the future.
