         <description><![CDATA[<div>Hello everybody!</div><div>I am Dafinka I live in beautiful town Smolyan in southern part of Bulgaria. I teach Bulgarian language and Literature in „St. St. Cyril and Methodius” secondary school. Working with other teachers and schools from Europe enriches my work and gives a lot of extra motivation. I love learning new things, travelling, meeting people from other countries. I am interеsting  for new ideas, methods and skills about educational process. </div><div>I  am happy to learning a lot with educators and  all participants in the course.  Pleasure for me to be part of this inspiring and useful course. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong><em>Smolyan</em></strong> is a&nbsp; town in southern part of Bulgaria near the border of Greece. The town is situated in the Rhodope Mountain. It is mostly known as a ski resort with a beautiful natural landscape and a popular tourist destination.Our region is famous for&nbsp; tourist attractions, culture, folklore, caves, lakes and waterfalls and skiing. The nature around <em>Smolyan</em> is amazing.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <title>Overview of my school</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I teach Bulgarian language and Literature in secondary  school  named "St. St. Cyril and Methodius ". School is the biggest one in region Smolyan  having  students from 1st to 12th grade. Teachers  work on various National an European projects - eTwinning and Erasmus+  projects. I teach students from 5<sup>th</sup> to 12<sup>th</sup> grade (11- 17 years old). My students are very motivated and responsible. They are open to exploring new cultures. In the lesson students can work together  or both in small groups or  individually. Class sizes range from 20 to 26. In some classroom we have got a whiteboard. We can use laptop in the classroom. In the most of our classrooms we have got a multimedia.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This video looks at why transversal competences such as collaborative problem-solving are particularly important today. It also introduces some international competence frameworks, looking particularly at how the European Framework for Key Competences for Lifelong Learning defines the important ‘learning to learn’ competence.<br><strong>A useful definition is given by Hoskins and Crick who state that a ‘competence’ can be<br>defined as ‘a complex combination of knowledge, skills, understanding, values, attitudes and desire which lead to effective, embodied human action in the world in a particular domain’.          <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>The ATC 21st century skills framework </strong>which includes four<br>dimensions: <strong>ways of thinking; ways of living in the world; ways of working; and tools for<br>working. </strong>Ways of thinking is conceptualized as including <strong><em>creativity and innovation, critical<br>thinking, problem-solving, decision making and learning to learn. </em></strong>Ways of living in the world<br>includes <strong><em>local and global citizenship, life and career skills, personal and social responsibility<br>and cultural awareness. </em></strong>Ways of working is considered to include <strong><em>collaboration and<br>communication; and tools for working comprises information literacy and ICT literacy.<br><br> </em></strong><strong>The European Framework<br></strong> The European Union Framework, developed by the European Commission in consultation with all member states, includes the following 8 Key Competences: - - <strong><em>Communication in the mother tongue<br> - Communication in foreign languages <br>- Mathematical competence and basic competences in science and technology<br></em></strong> - <strong><em>Digital competence <br>- Learning to learn <br>- Social and civic competences <br>- Sense of initiative and entrepreneurship <br>- Cultural awareness and expression. </em></strong>All 8 key competences are considered equally important </div>]]></description>
