01/23/2025 - If money, time, or fear were not a factor, what kind of work would you choose to do in the future?

If I could do work in the future without money, fear, or time, I would become a full-time content creator. I would love to be a content creator full time and have a community. I've always wanted to play my favorite games for people to watch and see my reaction to. My big inspiration for wanting to do this would be this YouTuber I watched as a kid. I found him very funny and he always seemed like a genuinely great person. He did this series back in 2015-2016, and the game playthrough stuck with me. That game playthrough was Undertale.

02/07/2025 - Think about a decision you’ve made recently, big or small. What factors influenced your choice? Did you trust your instincts, rely on advice from others, or consider the consequences? Reflect on how you felt after making the decision and whether it aligns with your values.

I recently made the decision to buy a subscription to a streaming service I use. I don't like having ads in my shows, and this streaming service only has ads for bigger shows on the platform. I previously didn't have to deal with ads on it, so I just bought the $16 subscription during lunch today. I don't regret it, as I plan on using it and not letting it just rot. I don't pay for a lot of recurring subscriptions, so this one isn't too much of a big deal to me. I say it aligns with my values, as I really only use this one streaming service. I do use Netflix and Disney + from time to time, but I use this one more. And my parents already pay for Netflix and Disney +.

02/24/2025 - What does justice mean to you? Think of a time you’ve seen justice in action, whether in your community, in a story, or in your own life. How did it play out? Did it look the way you expected?

To me, Justice to me is when someone or something is done right. For example, a book series I liked wrapped up back in late September I believe after going on for 6 years. When the ending began growing closer, many people complained about how the story was going, since a major character, who is by far the fan favorite of the series, had been killed. What was worse was that his death was "off screen," meaning he died but we, the audience, did not get to see. The official last chapter of the series included a character who everyone was sure died, but clearly somehow survived. There wasn't any explanation for it, either. The ending was bittersweet, as many fan favorite characters died, but the main characters who survived were okay. Still, many people complain about the ending due to it not being "good" enough. I personally think it was alright, but not as satisfying as I wished. I am not upset, as two of my favorite characters survived.

04/28/2025 - Think about a time when you encountered someone very different from yourself — in culture, language, appearance, belief, or background. How did you respond? What fears, assumptions, or invitations did you feel in that moment? In light of Catholic values like solidarity and the call to love our neighbor, what might God be asking of you when you meet those who are different from you? How can encountering the stranger transform the way you see the world — and yourself?

I met this person back in December of 2024. He was this random guy who dm'd me on Discord. I was looking for new friends at the time, since my friend group here at SJA had recently dropped me. So, I was naturally very lonely. At first, we were both a bit closed off. For me, I was just naturally shy, but he had been through a lot of things that had made him hesitant to meet new people. We got to know each other better over a few weeks, and were messaging daily. That was then he began sharing some wild things that had happened to him , like how he has almost died multiple times, as well as how his family didn't very much like him, yet would try and rely on him for money. He also told me how he's had only one long friendship. I felt much sympathy for him, and kept reassuring him that I wouldn't be going anywhere unless something truly terrible happened to either of us. And so far, we've known each other for around six months. We play Minecraft together and voice chat when we aren't busy. He also gives very good advice and is genuinely a good person to be around.
