Day is the time between sunrise and sunset. Some areas are in daylight while some are in moonlight. Night is the period of darkness between sunset and sunrise. Nightfall is the coming of night, and the ending of daylight. The cycle of day and night is called the diurnal cycle. The length of day and night can vary. In some regions of the world, the sun does not set during certain times of the year. And there are also seasonal periods where a single night can last many days.
-Audrey Laine Martens
